I love this time of year because I start getting quite a few calls from couples who are planning their weddings for next year. Over everything I shoot, weddings are my favorite. Something about every wedding is a bit magical and I love being able to capture and preserve that magic. If you know me, you know I cry at just about every wedding that I go to. The more I know someone the worse it is. I have been called out by many groomsmen for this. It happens.
If you are reading this and you are engaged & thinking I might be a good fit for your wedding please don't hesitate to get a hold of me. I would love to have you come by the studio, have a drink, check out some of my work and see if we are a good fit for your wedding day.
Some things that might help determine if I could be your wedding photographer:
On another note, there are a few weddings I am dying to do next year or in general so if any of these apply to your wedding for sure call/email/text me!
My studio was full of fun and laughter at this portrait session!

Sometimes everything aligns and you get to shoot what is pretty much the perfect session. This senior session was one of those and is easily in my top 3 favorite portrait sessions to date. The lighting was beautiful, Haliegh not only gorgeous but she was easy to work with and took direction well, and the location of course was amazing. When I was setting up the session with mom, she asked what I had in mind. I said something like "You are in Connell, in my mind we find a country road and an old barn or building." I met up for their session and they had the perfect place. We started out at the cross country track, next was a big red barn, followed by an abandoned school house and finished off using my strobes downtown. My only complaint is how cold it was at the end and really that is for Haleigh, not me because she was freezing!
Check out these amazing portraits!
One of my favorite things to offer is my Baby Steps Portrait Plans where I get to photograph babies from when the are born to their first year. It is so fun watching them grow over the first year and getting to capture some of the major milestone.
Here are two new additions to Baby Steps: Mila & Grady.
Yay twins! I have two sets of twins this year. Both have been so fun, and a welcome challenge to my photography skills. There is something super rewarding about getting 2 babies to do what I want at the same time and then snapping the shutter at the right moment to capture it.
Here are some of my favorites from the newborn session:
Stay tuned over the next year to see these little ones grow!
Oh, and Go Cougs!
I was so busy this year that I took it easy on the number of senior portrait sessions that I shot. As a result, I was able to take time with each one and make sure I got exactly what they wanted. Not that I don't do that anyway, but something about only having a handful of seniors this year made them all feel a bit more special I guess.
When I met with Melissa's she told me she wanted something country looking and to have hay in some of her pics. Lucky for her, I know the perfect area right in town so we set off to create some amazing images. When we were done I asked her if we got what she envisioned and she said that what we did was better than what
Halloween is probably my favorite holiday not that you can tell this year since I slacked on fully decorating my house or getting a costume for myself. Right before Halloween, I conducted my annual open house at the studio for costume photos. The little ones this year did not disappoint. Here are some of the kiddos that stopped by to say Hi.
