This serious senior started out by telling me I wasn't going to get him to smile for his photographs. Challenge accepted! I had fun walking around and hearing all about Benjamin's big goals for life after high school. Hope you are able to achieve them and more!
That's right, I captured multiple images of him smiling. :) I captured some very nice serious ones as well.
Anyone recall the crazy thunderstorms we had in the beginning of September? Well Hailei's senior session was scheduled on one of those days. Just as my make-up artist was finishing up her hair & make-up a hurricane brewed up outside of the studio. It was a little crazy.
We decided we would shoot in the studio and see what the weather was doing as we finished up. Sure enough, towards the end, the clouds were parting a bit and some blue sky could be seen off in the distance. We thought we would head down to Clover Island and see if we could make it work. Right when we started shooting by the lighthouse, a little spot of sun broke through giving us some really pretty light to work with. It stayed around long enough to get some great shots and then the sky got gloomy again right when we were finishing up. It was like the weather cleared up just for us.
I love this time of year when I get to do Senior Portraits. There is something special about capturing this moment in time right before your life begins. I didn't realize how special my senior portraits would be to me until quite a few years after high school.
