Recently I had a super fun senior session with one request....to showcase the senior's huge collection of shoes. We only had about 20 pairs out of his 60+ pairs that he owned so I got the chance to be creative and make it look like there were more. One of the most memorable parts of the session is during some down time, I was asking Jacky about where he got all of his shoes and he said that each pair was a memory of something that happened...like how some people collect bottle caps or other mementos he collected shoes.
I am super pleased with the final results and so was the senior. Thanks for the fun session Jacky!
My best friend brought in her son to do his 3 month shoot in the most adorable outfit ever. We decided that since I had my 6 month old in the studio at the time and some newborn props handy that would go with his outfit, that we should dress up the babies and do a shoot with them together. After we got them dressed, we noticed that they totally could pass for baby versions of Allie & Noah from The Notebook. I am so in love with these pics...even the ones that would be considered outtakes.
I had the privilege of photographing Bodie for his senior portraits recently. He is the wide receiver (hopefully I got that right this time) for Kennewick and we had a fun session over at the high school that ended in perfect back-lighting from the sun.
Little Chloe is 3 months already! She is so sweet and has changed so much since her newborn session. Her 6 month session will be here before I know it!
What is a Baby Plan? Glad you asked. I have a super discounted package set up that includes sessions that will mark your baby's milestones during the first year of development. It starts with your Maternity Session and ends with a fun-filled First Birthday Session. Along the way I will capture memories of your child from their first smiles to sitting up and eating (or smashing) that first birthday cake. If someone you know is expecting, this makes a great shower gift!
What makes you happier?
Nevermind the cellphone quality images.
For me it is the second set of images. I have been working on branding my business and making getting your portraits more of an experience than taking some photos and handing over a hand-written disk. (Which I had done for years)
Packaging client orders makes me happy now that I get to hand over something that looks like a big present. No more hand-written disks bought at Walmart. From now on if my clients order digital images, they get them on personalized disks in personalized cases that won't just get tossed into a drawer and forgotten about. No more plain white envelopes either (unless I am mailing them out.)
I am also super in love with the Birth Announcements pictured above that I designed for Sweet Baby Chloe. Can't wait to deliver them to her momma today.
