When I attempt pics of my kids, I am just happy to get them both in the same shot, in focus and looking at the camera at the same time. I dressed my girls up the other day when they came to the studio with me since I haven't taken any of them together in awhile. These are the results and you know what. I am happy with them.
A couple weeks ago I posted how much I love doing surprise sessions. Now that the mom of these two precious cuties has been given her birthday present, I can finally share some super adorable images! They don't come much cuter than these two do they?
Someone asked me the other day how the results turned out for a contest I was posting a couple months ago called the Wedding Industry Experts Awards. Well...I won Top Photographer in Kennewick, WA - #2 Photographer in WA State and #20 Photographer in the US. Super impressive right? Especially considering that I did all of that with 125 or so votes.
Here is a screen shot of my results:
From the beginning, it felt a little like a poetry "contest" I entered in the back of one of my Teen Magazines right out of high school. At first they are all amazing you won! Then started the constant emails of "don't forget to purchase your reward and certificate" Just like the poetry contest I am pretty sure this one is just some weird way of making money by getting people to pay more for their awards than it is worth.
That being said, I totally appreciate everyone who voted for me. Maybe if I enter next year and double my votes, I can be the top photographer in the world!
Surprise Bridal Boudoir sessions have become one of my most favorite things to photograph over the years. My first one was when I first started my business and I was so scared going into that first session. Even if I were allowed to show the images today, they are nowhere near the work I do now but at the time, the bride-to-be loved them and so did her groom. Now I know with each session I am going to have a hard time narrowing down the images I show with each proofing.
These images are my current favorites for so many reasons. This session was for one of my favorite people marrying another one of my favorite people, we managed to keep it a secret that we even saw each other while she was in town, and I was super stoked to show this future bride how amazing she is (though she was amazing before) after undergoing a major weight loss over the last couple years. These images show the results of hard work, self-control in diet, and crazy boot camp exercises. I am so happy I can finally share them with everyone! You are beautiful Angela on the inside & out.
Stay tuned for their beautiful wedding images! So happy I could be a part of everything!
