My favorite images from a wedding are the ones that capture a moment and tell the story. Don't get me wrong, I love a beautiful bride and a handsome group posed somewhere for standard wedding portraits but the ones that keep me in love with wedding photography are the images that can't be staged.
A couple months ago, I second shot for one of my photographer friends and I love how many moments I was able to capture at this wedding. They are mostly from the groom's perspective since I was with the men for a change.
Here are some of my favorites:
If you came by to check out the event photos from the Leprechaun Limbo, they are officially online. This is the 3rtd year we photographed the event. Each year it is bigger, better and all of the boys have a blast with their mom's. Looking forward to next year!

If you have an event coming up and need photos captured contact me for information. I love shooting candid images to capture every detail of an event.
I can officially announce that after a few months of hard work, I am a Certified Profession Photographer (CPP) through the Professional Photographers of America! This has been a personal goal of mine for awhile and I decided to get it done last spring.
So what does this mean?
I have taken to the time to get to know my craft and that you will receive professional quality portraits when I do a session or capture your event. Only 20% of photographers (3 others in the Tri-cities area) have taken the time to set themselves apart vs someone who just picked up a camera.

Last month I did a marathon weekend of boudoir sessions in time for Valentine's Day. Over two days I hosted sessions for 8 lovely ladies. It was such a blast! Each session was amazing and we managed to pull most of them off as a complete surprise. Here are some of my favorite images from a double session. These two best friends came in a did their portraits at the same time. A great way to get in some fun girl time!

This sweet baby is one of the newest members of my Baby Steps - First Year Portrait Plans. Since we didn't have time to do a maternity session I went to the hospital to capture Hailey's debut to the world and the first moments that big sister got to meet her, which was a very important moment to mom and one she would miss while in recovery.
Here are images from her "Fresh 48" session at the hospital:
We also did the newborn session at the studio a little later. It is amazing how quickly a baby changes from the day they are born and at a newborn session just a week or so later. Miss Hailey fought sleep big time during her studio session but the wait was worth the sweet images I was able to capture in the end along with some gorgeous awake shots while waiting for her to nod off. If you can't tell, big sister is super proud of her new sibling!
